

Things to
look out for ...
1.
If possible ask a Vet to accompany you on a visit.
2. Ensure
you view the horse without tack and check for unusual lumps/cuts
(especially on the legs).
3. View the
horse from all angles and at different paces with and without
a rider.
4. Ask someone
else to ride the horse before you do.
5. Ride the
horse in different environments such as road, jumping, hacking
etc.
6.
View the horse's temperament when being tacked up, led in and
out of stables and when being moved away from other horses.
7. Ask to
see the horse being led into a box.
8.
Ride the horse away from other horses and check it's temperament.
9.
Check the horse's reaction when you lift his feet up.
